Red and White Day
Student Council, in partnership with our intermediate classes, have planned a sensational day of Olympic-themed activities for our students! With a mix of indoor and outdoor games, students will immerse themselves in sports adapted from the Winter Olympics to get a sense of some of the different activities showcased at the Olympic Games.

Our Olympic Day is scheduled for February 18, with a ‘rain date’ planned for February 19th.

As part of the activities planned for the day, UFOs (similar to a Beaver Tail) will be provided for each student. We recognize that some students may not wish to consume a UFO treat. Please read through the ingredients listed below and determine whether or not your child would like to receive a treat on our Olympic Day.

If your child does NOT wish to have a UFO, please contact your child’s classroom teacher (SeeSaw, email, etc.) to let them know that your child is opting out of this snack. Please let your child’s teacher know by Thursday, February 12th. (There is no need to contact your child’s teacher if they would like a treat on Olympic Day.)

UFO Treats from Maple City Bakery Ingredients:
Wheat flour, water, dextrose, canola oil, yeast, salt, soya flour, cocoa powder, icing sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, wheat gluten, sodium steaprose, glucose, baking powder, carmel colour (contains sulphites) lactate 2, lactylate, skim milk powder, carnauba wax, carotene. (Not suitable for consumption by persons with an allergy to wheat, eggs, milk, sesame seeds, soya, sulphites or tree nuts).
