🏅 HISTORY IN MOTION
The starter’s horn sounded at Great Lakes Secondary School—and with it, a new LKDSB tradition was born.
For the first time, 531 elementary student athletes from across our entire bard came together for a unified Track & Field Meet— with representation stretching from Wheatley to Grand Bend.
From powerful sprints to soaring jumps and electrifying relays, the day was filled with determination, sportsmanship, and unforgettable moments. Even more impactful? Students competing alongside peers they’d never met before, building connections that reached far beyond the finish line.
This wasn’t just a meet—it was the beginning of something bigger for LKDSB students.

Our salmon are growing quickly! Thank you to Mr. Coqu and his Salmon Squad for all the work they do to allow our salmon to thrive and give us all a great learning experience! The fish are currently in the parr stage. We can tell that by seeing the vertical lines on their bodies. We are already looking forward to releasing the salmon near the end of April.
