C.K.S.S. tennis sisters Hayden and Hannah have advanced to the gold medal match at OFSAA Tennis 2025!
They have four wins and zero losses so far. This dynamic duo have played consistently and have supported each other all the way through.
The gold medal match is tomorrow, Wednesday November 12th at 10:30am.

C.K.S.S. Grade 12 Visual Art students have worked very hard in their "Hero Portrait" unit and will have an exhibit set up this Thursday November 13th from 7-8 pm at The. Co (208 Queen St.). Students have created realistic drawings of grandparents, parents, friends, historical icons and as well as some current influencers - each that have had a significant impact on their life. Each portrait will also be accompanied with a written tribute at the show. The exhibit is open to the public - feel free to pop by and check out this beautiful art show!

C.K.S.S. was proud to host the 2025 Boys and Girls Elementary Tournament this past weekend. The tournament saw 15 of our Chatham Kent teams put on an exciting show for the community. Congratulations to the Chatham Christian Boys and McNaughton Girls teams on winning this year’s championship. Big thanks goes out to the volunteers for all your hard work in making this a successful event. A special thanks goes out to our tournament sponsors!









Your CKSS Hawks came out 3 for 3 in their LKSSAA semi-finals this week (with two underdog victories in opponent's gyms)!
The Boys Volleyball teams (Junior & Senior) play on Friday night while the Junior Girls Basketball team plays on Saturday (Time TBD).

C.K.S.S. Integration Day 2025! Our school welcomed a group of incredible grade 8 students today as they participated in workshops and events across many subject areas!








Grade 9 C.K.S.S. Students experiencing the working world with the annual Take Our Kids to Work Day!






C.K.S.S. Remembrance Day Ceremonies on Tuesday November 11th at 9:30am and 11:30am. Open to parents, guardians and the community to attend.

This afternoon another group of grade 9 and 10 students experienced an OYAP Plumbing and Gas Fitter/Gas Technician pre-apprenticeship workshop! This workshop was designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of plumbing tools and fittings. Students gained practical knowledge of skills such as pipe cutting, flaring, NPT thread cutting, taping and different methods of pipe joining.





This morning a group of students in grade 9 and 10 participated in a hands-on "Women in Trades Bootcamp" which focused on machining and manufacturing. Students used CAD software to create 3D models, learned about CNC programming and machining of custom wooden parts and programmed a robotic arm using simulation software.



Congrats to our 3 athletes who competed at OFSAA Cross Country this weekend at Heart Lake in Brampton. You represented CKSS well! #RollHawks

The Chatham-Kent Public Library visited C.K.S.S. today to sign students up for library cards. Over 150 students participated! A library card gives students access to ebooks, audiobooks, video games, virtual homework help, research databases, and much more. If you missed it, you can stop by our next card drive in February or stop by any CKPL branch.

C.K.S.S. Alumni Melissa Bartlett is bringing some OUA Volleyball action to a few special places...her hometown and her high school!
Date: Thursday Nov 6th - C.K.S.S. Ed Myers Gym
Time: First Serve will be at 6:00pm
There will be prize draws, opportunities for youth players to win a chance to sit on the bench, and meet & greet opportunities after the match.
