Celebrating Creativity Across LKDSB ✨🎨
This evening, at the LKDSB Board Meeting in Chatham, we were proud to recognize the outstanding artistic talents of elementary and secondary students from across Chatham-Kent! 🖌️🌟
Our student art recognition program continues to grow as we celebrate the creativity, imagination, and unique voices of young artists throughout LKDSB. Selected artworks will be displayed at the Chatham Regional Education Centre for the next year, showcasing the incredible talent found in our schools. 🖼️
Elementary student artists received a $75 award to help support their artistic pursuits, while secondary student artists were awarded $150. 💵🎨
At LKDSB, we are committed to creating opportunities for students to shine both inside and outside the classroom. Tonight’s celebration was a wonderful reminder of the power of the arts to inspire, connect, and tell important stories.
We are so #LKDSBProud of our talented student artists. Keep creating, keep expressing yourself, and keep making your mark on the world. 💫

Some CKSS students rely entirely on school provided devices. When the fleet is stretched thin, those students feel it the most. Access to technology shouldn’t depend on luck or timing—it should be guaranteed. Help us expand the Chromebook fleet so every student has the tools they need to succeed.

Our teachers are ready. The lessons are ready. The students are ready. What we don’t have is enough Chromebooks to keep up with classroom demand. Expanding the fleet means smoother lessons, stronger engagement, and better outcomes for every learner. Join us in making it happen.

A student shouldn’t have to hope a Chromebook is available when they walk into class. Right now, many do. When devices run out, students lose valuable learning time or fall behind on assignments. Your support helps ensure every CKSS student can participate fully, every period of the day.
