Badger Nation - wear your Pink on International Day of Pink! Help us support inclusion for all students!

This past Friday, we celebrated Inquisitiveness with the Kiwanis and our Terrific Kid winners!
Inquisitiveness is the quality of having a strong desire to know, learn, or explore, often characterized by active, persistent questioning and curiosity. We have so many students at Bridgeview who embody the inquisitive character trait!
These students demonstrated their inquisitiveness in different ways throughout the school in March, and we are extremely proud!
Congrats Badgers - the Nation is proud of you!

Our Grade 1/2's participated in March Madness, Elementary school style! Each bracket was a top-tier picture book, with the competition increasing each day. There were so many great books and close-to-the-heart faves.
However, this year the winner of March Madness was Mortimer by Robert Munsch! Great job, Mrs. Hyatt's class!

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!
Bridgeview Public School has challenged the Point Edward Fire Department in a game of Cereal Box Dominos! Badger Nation will be encouraged to bring in cereal boxes as a donation to the Inn of the Good Shepherd, and will go "edge-to-edge" with the firefighters to see who can bring in the most! After, we'll be collaborating to build a large-scale domino line through our hallways.
Of course, we'll be keeping track along the way! Let's see those cereal boxes start "pouring" in starting Monday, March 23rd!

Badger Nation! Wear your chosen sports or event jersey with pride! Thursday, March 5th!

The Earth Rangers made a stop at Bridgeview thanks to Nova Chemicals!
The entire school participated in learning about environmental challenges, habitats and animal endangerment, and what we can do as a school community to help. Of course, our Earth Rangers visit included seeing a beautiful Snowy Owl and a large Tortoise, which was the highlight of the show!

Badger Nation! Bridgeview students, staff, and school community are encouraged to wear pink to bring awareness to anti-bullying in schools and workplaces. There is always learning to do, reflections to make, and actions to take when it comes to difficult interactions. However, Pink Shirt Day is there to remind us we are not alone in this task, and together we can make a difference!

The Senior Girls' basketball team had a quick but tremendous season. They came out strong, winning their first two games, and fought hard in their third, but unfortunately came up short. The girls made it to the Finals and played Lakeroad again.
We came out strong and were ready to compete. The scoreboard did not go in our favour; however, that does not say anything about the effort that this group of girls put in. They made it after-school practices, worked hard to learn new skills, and worked together as a team, always encouraging each other on. I could not be prouder to be their coach, and their willingness to never give up did not go unnoticed.
Thank you for showing up and putting in the effort every practice and game. Badger Nation is super proud of all of you for being finalists in the Senior Girls "B" Basketball league.
Players: Sophie, Amara, Leighton, Ava, Adelaide, Saige, Bronwyn, Jayla, Adley, Maddy; Coach: Ms. Teft
