The Lambton Kent District School Board (LKDSB) is accepting registrations for Kindergarten students for the 2022-23 school year. Children who are four or five years old by December 31, 2022 are eligible to begin full-day Kindergarten in September.

LKDSB invites families in Chatham-Kent and Sarnia-Lambton to register online, then bring their child for a school visit on Monday, January 31 to meet with our caring staff and complete the registration process. Registering for Kindergarten is an exciting milestone for families, and staff is excited to welcome the new Kindergarten class.

“We are looking forward to meeting future students and their families for an introduction to the Kindergarten program,” said LKDSB Director John Howitt. “On January 31, families will have an opportunity to meet our caring school staff, who are focused on supporting smooth transitions to school for our youngest students.”

All public schools will host school visits on Monday, January 31 (a Professional Activity Day for current students) from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., when children and their parents/guardians are invited to tour their future classroom with the school principal. Completing the secure online registration form in advance allows families to focus on building positive relationships with staff during their visit. Those unable to attend can still register at any time throughout the school year and are welcome to contact their school directly to schedule a visit.

The online registration form and more information about Kindergarten registration can be found here.
