​By joining either the Cathcart Parent Association or Parent Council you will be one of the many voices that help to shape our school community. You will help provide input into many important decisions that impact our students on a daily basis. You will be a part of making our school a close community!

Parent Association

At Cathcart, our Parent Association meets for 45 minutes, six times per year. We are a fun group that raises funds for all of the exciting extras that make Cathcart such a great school! We help to organize our hot lunch days and daily milk program.

Parent Council

The Cathcart Parent Council is a collaborative team that includes the principal, vice-principal, teacher representatives and parents. Parent Council meets six times per year for 1.5 hours (directly following Parent Association meetings). Members of the Parent Council enhance student learning by advising principals on educational matters. Members of Cathcart's Parent Council provide input on school matters (i.e. school photographer, school to parent communication).
