​Dear Parents/Guardians,

This letter is to notify you of an incident that occurred on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at the Brooke Central Public School site.

At approximately 2:00 p.m., there was a false fire safety alarm at the Brooke Central Public School site as a result of construction. As a precaution, all students and staff were safely evacuated and remained outdoors for approximately 10 minutes before it was confirmed that the issue was connected to construction.

Student and staff safety are a top priority for the Lambton Kent District School Board (LKDSB). The LKDSB appreciates the cooperation of staff in following the proper protocols to safely remove students from the area.
