​Dear Parents/Guardians,

This letter is to notify you of an incident that occurred on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at the Brooke Central Public School site.

At approximately 2:45 p.m., there was a false fire safety alarm at the Brooke Central Public School site. As a precaution, all students and staff were safely evacuated. Local Fire Rescue Services cleared the building for re-entry at approximately 3:05 p.m.

Student and staff safety are a top priority for the Lambton Kent District School Board (LKDSB). The LKDSB appreciates the cooperation of staff in following the proper protocols to safely remove students from the area.
