As many of you know, almost all of our LKDSB schools have at least one Noelle’s Gift Closet. These closets are stocked with everyday essentials tailored to meet the specific needs of each school community.
Clean clothes, hygiene products, nutritional items and various school supplies are just some of the examples of what you can find inside of a Noelle’s Gift Closet. These closets have created a new opportunity for our schools to provide immediate relief in moments panic or anxiety by our students. These closets meet the needs quickly and discretely, and allow for our students to continue with their day supported, nourished, and ready to learn.
For this reason, we are pleased to share information with you about the Noelle’s Gift Closet Initiative, a program that is making a meaningful difference in the lives of students across the Lambton Kent District School Board. The Gift Closet Initiative provides local businesses and organizations the opportunity to become a “Closet Sponsor” and fund the stocking of closet(s) at a specific school or schools.
