We’ve seen some misinformation circulating online surrounding the potential Dresden landfill and its relation to the Lambton Kent Composite School and we would like to clear up any confusion:

The Lambton Kent District School Board has absolutely no plans or intentions to close, move, or sell Lambton Kent Composite School (LKCS).
For more than 55 years, LKCS has been a cornerstone of the Dresden community—educating students from Dawn-Euphemia Public School, Zone Township Central School, Thamesville Area Public School, Dresden Area Central School, and beyond. It’s a school where tradition meets excellence, and we’re proud of the incredible opportunities it provides for our students.
We value the trust and support of our families and community. The best way to stay informed about LKDSB news and updates?

Thank you for considering contributing to the LKDSB Learning Tree. Every contribution will add to the tree, resulting in more bids, and in turn – helping to support Noelle’s Gift to Children, which provides daily essentials and emergency support to students and families throughout Chatham-Kent and Sarnia-Lambton. Your efforts will make a real and lasting impact. Deadline for submissions is November 6, 2025.
