Student Nutrition

The Ontario Student Nutrition Program provides students with free, nutritious snacks, breakfasts, and lunches to support their learning and overall well‑being.

This program is available in our school and community locations across Ontario and is open to all children and youth.

Our School Monthly Cooking Activities

Our school-wide cooking program provides students with essential life skills through an integrated, hands-on curriculum. By transforming the kitchen into a laboratory for learning, we deliver practical Mathematics (measurement, temperature control, and financial literacy), Language Arts (instructional reading and food literacy), and Health Sciences (nutritional habits and wellness) in an engaging, real-world context.

Cooking is one of the few activities that engages all five senses, which significantly boosts information retention. There’s something uniquely effective about "stealth learning"—kids are so focused on the excitement of making (and eating) a meal that they don't even realize they're practicing fractions or critical reading.
