1) Student Senate! Every year, two students represent NLSS as Student Senators. This prestigious position allows these students to meet with the LKDSB Director and Student Senators from the 11 other secondary schools, several times a year. Meetings are a mix of virtual and face to face. The group typically works on a project together to benefit all high school students. If you are interested in applying, or teachers have a candidate in mind - please see Mrs. Leystra right away. This position looks great on a resume.

4) Do you have library books out? There are 153 books still borrowed and they are overdue! Tomorrow Miss Syer will be visiting classes for those who still have library books. If you want to avoid this, make sure you bring your books back before 8 AM tomorrow, locker cleanout is the perfect opportunity to find your books. (Miss Syer)

5) If you have paid your $60 for a Jays ticket in September BUT you have not returned a signed pink permission form then you have not reserved your spot. Your form needs to be returned. If you need a form get it from Mrs. Sanders at lunch.

6) A special thank you to students that support local businesses, Foodland and Godfather's in particular send a warmest thank you. For our senior students that buy from these businesses and enjoy lunch at the old arena parking lot, it's an especially wonderful way to spend noon hour.

The community would politely ask that containers, packaging and waste be placed in appropriate receptacles. Keep Forest, like the name, clean and green. (Mr. Tichenoff)
