1. Pick up Your Yearbook in room 316 Today. There are still yearbooks available for purchase - $45 (See Mrs. Smit)
2. Jazz Band will practice Tuesday, September 29th at lunch and Concert Band will have an extra practice after school today.
3. Key Club – Join us Wednesday at the beginning of lunch for the next Key Club meeting in room 313 on the third floor. Hope to see you there! (Mrs. Hoskin)
4. Rugby 7’s! Men & Women’s Rugby practice will continue this week after school. Tuesday and Thursday, 2:30-4 pm, rain or shine.
5. Orange Shirt Day is Wednesday, September 30th, alongside the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation to honor residential school survivors and remember the children who never returned home. We will be selling orange t-shirts for $5 and orange pins for $1 in the front foyer during lunch, today and tomorrow. All proceeds will go towards supporting our Indigenous clubs here at school.
6. Registration Verifications received the first week of school – Please return all Registration Verifications forms to the office as soon as possible.
7. Esports Club – we will be meeting Monday and Wednesday. If you want to join, reach out to Mr. Medd or Ms. Herrington – we’d love to have you on the team!
8. College/University Visits – Sign up in Student Services to attend the college and university presentations that will be happening this fall. Lambton College and King’s University will be here next week. (Mrs. Petrus)
9. Book Club – Read to dive into great stories, share your thoughts and discover your next favorite read? We will meet once a month to chat about our latest picks. If you want to join the fun and get on the list, go see Ms. Herrington in the library to sign up today!
10. LEAD (Learn, Evolve & Accept Diversity) will begin meeting on Fridays this year. Meet us in the library career centre today at lunch! LEAD is a safe and welcoming space for 2SLGBTQIA+ students and allies. Come connect, find, support, and stand together.
