1. Pick up Your Yearbook in room 316 Today. There are still yearbooks available for purchase - $45 (See Mrs. Smit)
2. Junior Girls Basketball – Last night our Junior Girls began their season in Wallaceburg. Our girls faced a strong Tartan squad who came out flying and our girls struggled with the pace of play. The good news is that they were able to hold Wallaceburg to 10 points in the first half but unfortunately struggled putting their own points up. At half time the girls regrouped and found their scoring touch but alas, it was not enough to topple the mighty Tartans and fell in their opener 34-21. Leading the way for your Eagles was Hayley D with 5 points, Lea V and Olivia B with 4 points each and congratulations to Mya B who hit our first 3 pointer of the season. Great start girls, we will get them next time!
3. Senior Girls’ Basketball - Your defending LKSSAA champion Senior Girls Basketball team picked up where they left off last season as they hammered the Wallaceburg Tartans by a score of 49-23. Our Girls controlled the game from the opening tip off to the final whistle. Tough defense is always the hallmark of your Eagles squad as they only gave up 3 points in both the 1st and 3rd quarters and great defensive plays were made by Kylee B. Great team play by all 11 players led to this convincing victory. Leading the way offensively for your Eagles was Alexis W with 18 points, Lainie R with 10 points and Meaghan G with 5 points. Great work ladies. Everyone needs to come next week for our Home Opener next Thursday against our Lambton Rivals the LCCVI Lancers.
4.
