1.      There are still a few spots left for the March Break Trip.  But the discounted price will soon be gone… for information on how to sign up see Mr. Smit or Mrs. Sanders.

2.      Jazz Band will rehearse Tuesday at lunch this week.  There will be no Concert Band rehearsal this week but we will rehearse next Tuesday at 12 pm after morning exams.  (Mr. MacDougall)

3.      Exam Study Help – Do you need extra help with assignments or help reviewing for exams???  The Student Success Team will be available in the library at 2:20 PM on Tuesday, June 16th to assist students with any outstanding assignments or to help with exam review.  The session will start at 2:20 PM in the library.

4.      The Great European Sausage Fundraiser – Tuesday, June 16th at lunch, in the front foyer.  Why:  To help fund our bus to and from the Pearson airport.  By buying a delicious Oktoberfest sausage on a bun for only $5, you’re helping the Germany, Italy, and Switzerland group get to Toronto.! 

5.      Thanks to those who participated in the Mario Kart challenge.  2nd place went to Sam Parker, and 1st place was Naoki Kawamura.  Check back in the Fall for more Esports fun. (Miss Syer)

6.      Chess Club – The 1st NLSS Chess tournament is complete.  Based on completing all 10 games and wins/losses/draws:

1st place – Keegan M, 2nd place – Brad R, 3rd place – Victor F

Please come see Mr. Singh for your medals.  We will play recreationally next week on Monday and Wednesday.  (Mr. Singh

7.      Eagles Golf Tournament – We have posted your tee times outside the boys’ locker room.  A reminder that everyone needs to pay the $5 and only non members need to pay for their green fees.  Please make sure you get your $ in ASAP and please give it to AJ W.  If you have any questions, please contact James R, Nathan L, AJ W or Mr. Wilson.

8.      Library Books – It’s almost the end of the year, which means that it is time to return your library books.  All books are due back June 12, First Late slips will be sent on Tuesday.  Right now, grade 9s have 41 books out, grade 10 have 36, grade 11 have 27, and grade 12 have 21 books out.  Which grade will be able to return all their books first? 

9.      After locker cleanout on Wednesday, Miss Syer will be visiting classes to ask where your library books are.  If you want to avoid this, please return your items by then.  Every grade is close to getting all their books back.  Grade 9’s have 14, Grade 10 have 16, Grade 11 have 13, and Grade 12 have 12 books still.

10. Teen Advisory Council – The public library is looking for people interested in being on a teen advisory council, this is a great opportunity for someone interested in being a representative in the community and earning volunteer hours.  See the visual announcements for a link for more info.

11. Girls Soccer – A reminder to all players that your jerseys are due back to Mr. Wilson sometime this week please.

12. Girls’ rugby players are reminded to return their jerseys and shorts to Ms. Haisman or Ms. Simic by the end of this week (Names were indicated on the announcements today – Lydia and Lena.

13. Announcements – Attention all students!  If you are interested in doing the morning announcements for next year, please visit the office to submit your name.  We will be auditioning for the part in June.  Thank you to Megan and Amber for doing the announcements all year.

14. Only 65 copies of the yearbook left!  With just 2 weeks of school remaining, time is officially running out.  The 2025/2026 “Trending through the Decades” Yearbook is selling fast!  Where:  School Cash Online  Price:  $45.  Already ordered your copy on School Cash Online, talk to Mrs. Smit about purchasing a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th copy.

  1. Attention all track and field athletes. Your track jackets are in. Bring $74 to Mr. Willemse and pay at School Cash Online to get your jackets. See Mr. Willemse if you have any questions.
