1. Graduates – Friday is Grad breakfast, please complete the google form today, it is in our classroom. Continue to add pictures to the folders in the google classroom for the slideshow. Remember to complete the form about graduation. Congratulations!
2. There are still a few spots left for the March Break Trip. But the discounted price will soon be gone… for information on how to sign up see Mr. Smit or Mrs. Sanders
3. Chess Club – will meet Tuesday, June 9th in room 184. (Mr. Singh)
4. Mario Kart Rainbow Road challenge in the library started a lunch today. (Miss Syer)
5. Eagles Golf tournament – Hello Eagle Golfers, we are hosting a golf tournament at Forest Golf Club on the 9 hole side On June 17th. If you’re a golfer this is a perfect chance to play with 3 friends in a scramble to compete for prizes and the championship. All skill levels are welcome. The cost to golf is $25 for non-members and $5 for prizes. Teams must have a theme and a team name for team points. So grab three friends and sign up outside the Boys’ Phys. Ed Office. Everyone needs to pay the $5 and only non members need to cover green fees at the course. If you have any questions, please contact James R, Nathan L, AJ Wilson or Mr. Wilson.
6. On Monday we will be starting a Mario Kart Rainbow Road challenge in the library. Sign up now, there are prizes to be won! (Miss Syer)
7. Library Books – It’s almost the end of the year, which means that it is time to return your library books. All books are due back June 12, First Late slips will be sent on Tuesday. Right now, grade 9s have 41 books out, grade 10 have 36, grade 11 have 27, and grade 12 have 21 books out. Which grade will be able to return all their books first?
8. Attention NLSS students…its letter award time!!! Letter awards are earned each year by students who meet the requirements: Students in all grades are eligible to earn an award if you have participated in three clubs or teams this year and have a 75% average. Forms can be picked up on the main foyer at lunch this week. Letter award forms MUST be completed and returned to Mrs. Sanders by MONDAY June 8th at lunch.
9. The teacher/student band will rehearse today at lunch. The Music, Drama and Art Banquet will be Wednesday after school. RSVP with Mr. MacDougall. $10 cost for taco bar can be paid on School Cash Online or by cash.
10. Athletic Awards (June 9, Period B) – Attention all Eagles athletes! The Athletic Awards ceremony is coming up on Tuesday, June 9th. Please come to the main foyer at lunch this week to pick up your ticket, as you will need it to be excused from class. We hope to see you there! Please see Kaydence G, Addison N or Mr. Wilson if you have any questions
11. Girls Soccer – A reminder to all players that your jerseys are due back to Mr. Wilson sometime this week please.
12. Girls’ rugby players are reminded to return their jerseys and shorts to Ms. Haisman or Ms. Simic by the end of this week (Names were indicated on the announcements today. The link for sweater orders is closed. Ms. Haisman will pick up orders and bring them to school. We will let you know when they are here!
13. Announcements – Attention all students! If you are interested in doing the morning announcements for next year, please visit the office to submit your name. We will be auditioning for the part in June. Thank you to Megan and Amber for doing the announcements all year.

Over the weekend Arlee R, Arie R and Josh S competed at OFSAA Provincial Track and Field in St. Catharines. Athletes from all over Ontario competed for gold and our athletes did not disappoint. Arlee finished 17th in the province in the Novice Girls 400 metres. Arie R had a great day and finished 9th in the province in Junior Boys' Pole Vault and Josh S also finished 9th in the province in the Boys' 800 m. Great work athletes, these are huge accomplishments. (Mr. Willemse)
