Meaning:  May/Flower Moon

1.      The 1st NLSS Chess tournament is underway.  This week we will be meeting Tuesday, May 5th.  Thursday May 7th will be non-tournament games due to Mr. Singh’s schedule.  (Mr. Singh)

2.      Awesome Eagles Day is right around the corner!  There will be a brief meeting at the start of lunch on Monday, May 4th in room 216.  If you received an email about helping to lead this event please attend or talk to Mr. Wilson or Mrs. Doornbosch if you are unable to make it.

3.      Girls Soccer – Yesterday your girls soccer team had a dominating performance vs Wallaceburg and got their first win of the season.  Jenna M opened the scoring on a beautiful corner kick that found its way into the back of the net.  Lainie R would add a second goal shortly after with a great kick that would ricochet it’s way into the net.  This was a strong team effort that would see the Eagles build pressure all game and spend the whole second half in the Tartan’s end.  Brooklyn M and Keisha M shared the shutout in net.  Great game ladies!  Our season continues next Tuesday with another home game vs John MacGregor.

4.      Boys Soccer – Your boys soccer team also had a strong performance vs Wallaceburg. It finished 1-0 with Ryder M scoring halfway through the second half with a strong individual effort.  The whole team played a great game against a strong Wallaceburg team.  Rourke B and Nic D both had excellent games where they controlled play along the sidelines.  Brennan S continued his shutout streak with another strong effort.  The boys picked up their 2nd straight win to open the season.  Our season continues next Tuesday with another home game bs John MacGregor.  The Boys team will practice again Monday after school.

5.      Mandatory slo pitch team meeting today at the start of lunch in the gym.  Please bring your signed permission forms to the meeting if you have not handed them in already.  You cannot play next week without signed forms.  (Mr. Eberlin)
