1. National Volunteer Week – April 19-25 – Through this year’s National Volunteer Week, we celebrate the ways in which people in Canada have ignited volunteerism in their communities, aligning NVW 2026 with Ignite Volunteerism, deepening our collective impact. Ignite Volunteerism is a year-long effort to elevate the role of civic participation, rebuild volunteer infrastructure, and celebrate volunteer stories.
2. Ridvan (meaning Paradise) is the twelve-day Bahai Faith festival commemorating Bahaullah’s declaration that he was a Manifestation of God (April 21-May 2)
3. Chess Club will meet in Room 184 on Thursday, April 23rd. Please arrive for 11 AM. There is still time to sign up this week. Players will play 10 games over April, May and June. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 players.
4. Girls’ rugby will practice tonight after school. Make sure to dress for the weather!
5. Staff and students are invited to the Drama Department’s Variety Show on Friday at 6:30 PM. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students.
6. Book Club will meet this Thursday, April 23rd in the library Fishbowl at lunch. (Miss Syer)
7. RELAY 2026 – Remember to turn in your permission forms and fees in the main foyer at lunch!! (Mrs. Sanders)

Get your copy to show off to your peers, classmates, and family all the cool stuff that North Lambton Secondary School has to offer, such as the Colour Run, Relay for Life, Clubs, Classes, and so much more.

9. The Kineto Youth Film Contest will be due May 15th, get started on your entry now! If you are interested in using film equipment or editing software, please speak to Mr. Needham or Miss Syer.
