1. 1. Art Room Open Studio: Room 316 – Finish the Semester Strong! Need extra time to wrap up a project or want to start something new? Room 316 will be open at lunch for all interested students on the following dates:
Tuesday, January 13 and Thursday, January 15
With the end of the semester approaching quickly, this is the perfect chance to catch up on assignments, refine your portfolio, or simply enjoy some creative time. (Mrs. Smit)
2. 2. Exams begin Friday: To help you wrap up the semester there will be a cocoa and cram session in the library Wednesday, January 21st form 2:30-4 pm. Teachers will be there to answer questions as you prepare for you exams or complete assignments.
3. 3. Reminder Graduation Retakes – Monday, January 19th and Tuesday, January 20th in the Career Centre in the Library
4. 4. Trip to Japan – reminder that the parent information meeting will now be held on Wednesday, January 21st at 6:30 pm in the library.
5. 5. Community Hours – Literacy Lambton is looking for volunteers to help with students in grade 3 and 4. They are running a program on Tuesday here in Forest. See Mrs. Petrus for more information.
6. Community Hours Opportunity – The Forest Skating Club is looking for volunteers on Feb. 20, 21, 22. They are hosting a competition and could use some extra help those days. See the posting outside Student Services or ask Mrs. Petrus for more info.
7. Travel for Credit – EduTravel is excited to offer students currently in grade 9 a chance to earn a highschool credit while experiencing the ultimate road trip. Check out our amazing Summer Civics & Careers Program: Visit Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec. See Student Services for more info.
