Our school community is coming together to support an upcoming fundraising event to raise money for FDK yard equipment. We are asking for donations of items for themed gift baskets and raffles.
Donated items can be sent to school with your child or dropped off at the office by May 1st.
We welcome new, unused items that fit one of the themes:

Camp FrancoFun is back this summer!
Stop horsing around and give a huge cheer for our four-time champions! The Colts have officially secured a four-peat in the Clash Cup competition.
It’s been an un-bridle-ed success, and while other classrooms tried to stirrup some trouble, our students showed they have a stable relationship with winning. Special thanks to everyone for the hard work—we’re clearly in our 'Winning Era!' Let’s keep this momentum galloping into next year!

Merlin Area Public School would like to share wonderful news about our own, Dylan McLeod and his passion for bowling!
After qualifying in Burlington, Dylan will be a member on the Southern Ontario Team (Bantam Division). In May, he will travel to Winnipeg, in hopes of winning The National Championship Title! His team will compete against 6 other provincial teams.

Congratulations to Peyton Vicary!
This past Friday, Merlin Area Public School hosted its school-level Spelling Bee, and we are thrilled to announce that our Grade 7 student, Peyton Vicary, is now proudly known as Peyton VICTORY! Peyton will represent our school at the regional competition in Windsor on February 28th.
Peyton impressed everyone by completing nine challenging rounds without a single error! We are so proud of her hard work and determination. Way to go, Peyton!

Thank you to Mr. Rankin's grade 5/6 class for leading our school ceremony and representing our students on Remembrance Day at the cenotaph. A special thank you to our Merlin Legion for participating at our school ceremony and helping our students learn and recognize. Also, thank you for the wonderful meal that was shared following the service on the 11th.
