Last week, students recognized mental health and well-being, with our 2nd annual "Lynx Let's Talk" school-wide activity day! Inspired by Bell's Let's Talk Day for Mental Health, students participated in a variety of activities, including yoga and stretching, mental health bingo, an "All Kinds of Minds" art activity, and a healthy snack. Each station was run by our Grade 8s, with our Grade 7s as group leaders. Students are learning that just like our physical health, our mental health is important too. Way to go, Lynx! Thank you to our amazing Snack Program and volunteers, Parent Council, and our staff, who make these amazing school-wide opportunities happen!

On Friday, January 16th, London Road PS participated in our first Spirit Day of 2026! Wow! It was awesome. Everyone loved "Anything BUT a Backpack Day." There were so many unique and hilarious choices. From toy BBQs to shopping carts, suitcases, guitar cases, and cat carriers! Staff and students all got involved. What a great way to have fun and build our community. Can't wait for our next one!

Thank you to our Parent Group who hosted a dinner and speaker: Constable McLean from the Sarnia Police, who presented to parents on social media awareness. The strong take away: we all need to be watchful and aware of how our kids are using social media platforms, the risks and purpose and keep having open conversations.

Today we remember.
We stood in silence to thank those who serve and who have served for our freedom.
We acknowledge the lives lost and the sacrifices that were made.
We are thankful to live in this country of Canada.
