We hope that you have enjoyed your summer and are continuing to enjoy the last few days of summer vacation.
If you have not completed all your registration and paperwork for your child starting at Lansdowne Public School would you please come into the school office Aug 30th through Sept, 4th between the hours 9:00 am and 3:00 pm to complete.
Sept 1st would be the best day to do this as we have an open house that day as well for all of our incoming students.
At this open house on Sept 1st where you and your child are more than welcome to stop by the school to check out the classroom and familiarize your child with where they will be going on their first day of school. We will be offering this open house between the hours of 9:30am and 2:30pm.
For Jr. kindergarten students we do what is called a staggered start, so your child will not start on the first day of school, September 8th 2026 like the older students (Sk-Gr. 8).
If your child's last name starts with the letters A through L they will attend school on Wednesday September 9th and Friday September 11th
If your child's last name starts with M through Z they will attend school on Thursday September 10th and Friday September 11th.

The starter’s horn sounded at Great Lakes Secondary School—and with it, a new LKDSB tradition was born.
For the first time, 531 elementary student athletes from across our entire bard came together for a unified Track & Field Meet— with representation stretching from Wheatley to Grand Bend.
From powerful sprints to soaring jumps and electrifying relays, the day was filled with determination, sportsmanship, and unforgettable moments. Even more impactful? Students competing alongside peers they’d never met before, building connections that reached far beyond the finish line.
This wasn’t just a meet—it was the beginning of something bigger for LKDSB students.
