⚾ What a game! Our annual Staff vs. Grade 8 Baseball Game was filled with school spirit, teamwork, and friendly competition. The staff came in hoping to extend their winning streak, but this year the Grade 8s came away with the victory! Congratulations to our Grade 8 champions! 🏆🎉

🏅 HISTORY IN MOTION
The starter’s horn sounded at Great Lakes Secondary School—and with it, a new LKDSB tradition was born.
For the first time, 531 elementary student athletes from across our entire bard came together for a unified Track & Field Meet— with representation stretching from Wheatley to Grand Bend.
From powerful sprints to soaring jumps and electrifying relays, the day was filled with determination, sportsmanship, and unforgettable moments. Even more impactful? Students competing alongside peers they’d never met before, building connections that reached far beyond the finish line.
This wasn’t just a meet—it was the beginning of something bigger for LKDSB students.

Our 2nd annual Animal Appreciation Day in honour of Mrs. Kedwell was a great success! Lakeroad students and staff enjoyed visiting Myste (Golden Lab service dog), Lucy (Mini Goldendoodle), Cornelius (Bearded Dragon), Pablo (French Bulldog), Chewy (ShihTzu), Jellybean & Spike (Eyelash Crested Geckos) and Sonny (Basset Hound).
Thank you to all of our amazing Lakeroad pet owners for presenting and sharing your pets with us! 💜

Lakeroad lions know that LOVE is what makes a family. Students made a family tree to show who they consider part of their family. ❤️

Don't forget our Jump Rope for Heart Event Day is tomorrow, May 8! It's time to celebrate our school's achievements, have some fun, and get active. So far, we have raised $2175 for Heart & Stroke.
