Dear Lakeroad Public School,
We are reaching out today to thank the students and staff of Lakeroad Public School for your participation in the Fall 2024 Earth Rangers Battery Blitz Contest, sponsored by Recycle Your Batteries, Canada!
In the fall, 100 schools across Canada competed in contests held in three provinces, with a goal of collecting the most used batteries.
Thanks to the efforts of these schools, over 25,000 kilograms of used batteries were collected for recycling, keeping them out of landfill, protecting the environment and supporting a circular economy.
That’s equivalent to the weight of four African elephants!
These contests demonstrate how youth can play an important role in protecting the environment for future generations.
In appreciation of your school’s contribution, we are providing a certificate to display.
