To the Graduating Classes of 2026...

On behalf of the Lambton Kent District School Board, I want to congratulate each of you on reaching this milestone.

Graduation is a proud moment for students, for the families and caregivers and for our school communities who have been there every step of the way. Today is about more than a certificate, it’s about everything and everyone it took to get here.

To the parents and caregivers: this milestone belongs to you, too. You’ve guided, encouraged, worried, cheered, and shown up in countless ways, often behind the scenes. The resilience we see in our graduates is, in many ways, a reflection of the steady support they’ve had from home and community.

To our graduates: your journey hasn’t been simple or predictable. You’ve learned in changing environments, adjusted to new expectations, supported one another, and kept moving forward even when things felt uncertain. You are a cohort that understands what it means to be flexible, to adapt, and to keep going. Those are not small things. Those are strengths that you can use moving forward.

As you step into what comes next, whether that’s more school, work, training, or a path still taking shape trust yourself. Trust what you’ve learned about how to handle change, how to problem-solve, and how to move forward when the path isn’t perfectly clear. You don’t need to have everything figured out. What matters is that you keep learning, stay open, and believe in your ability to find your way.

Wherever life takes you, know that you are part of a community that believes in you. The experiences you’ve had here with the Lambton Kent District School Board, and the people who have supported you, will continue to be part of your story.

Congratulations, Classes of 2026. We are proud of you, and we are excited to see where you go next.
