Last month, Michelle Robbins from the Buxton National Historic Site & Museum visited Ms. Robbins’ Grade 7/8 class to talk about community sustainability within the Buxton Settlement. Students explored how settlers worked together to build a thriving community and enjoyed a hands-on butter-making activity!

Once again the Make a Difference Crew will be collecting socks for the month of October. The socks will be donated to the Women's shelter and Hope Haven. Warm feet, warm hearts - thank you for helping us bring comfort to those who need it this fall!🍂

Our students had an incredible time coming together for this year's Terry Fox Run. From enthusiastic laps around Mud Creek to high fives at the finish line, their energy and community spirit were unstoppable. A huge thank you to our amazing students, teachers, and families for carrying on Terry's legacy and supporting cancer research.

Indian Creek Road Public School is participating in the Terry Fox run on Friday, October 2nd! Students will participate from approximately 11:45am until 1:15pm. Big congratulations to all of our cross-country runners who took part in the Fun Run at Mud Creek last night! We had over 50 athletes take part, and every single one showed incredible determination and sportsmanship. Way to go, Sundevils!

BBQ TOMORROW!  ICRPS is having a BBQ at Sobey's on Saturday, September 26th from 10:30-1:30.  Kindergarten staff members will be serving up cold drinks, fun snacks, yummy hotdogs, and lots of smiles!  Donations will be accepted for playground improvements. See you there!

Solidarity Day or (Canada’s National Aboriginal Day) is annually held on June 21 to celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures, and outstanding achievements of the nation’s Aboriginal peoples. ICRPS will be recognizing Solidarity Day by wearing orange today, Friday, June 19th

🏅 HISTORY IN MOTION
The starter’s horn sounded at Great Lakes Secondary School—and with it, a new LKDSB tradition was born.
For the first time, 531 elementary student athletes from across our entire bard came together for a unified Track & Field Meet— with representation stretching from Wheatley to Grand Bend.
From powerful sprints to soaring jumps and electrifying relays, the day was filled with determination, sportsmanship, and unforgettable moments. Even more impactful? Students competing alongside peers they’d never met before, building connections that reached far beyond the finish line.
This wasn’t just a meet—it was the beginning of something bigger for LKDSB students.

Our first two Intermediate Arts Showcase performances today, were a huge hit. If you weren't able to come to our daytime performance, we are hoping you can make it out to our evening performance, tonight (Thursday June 11, 2026) at 6:00. Come and check out what our grade 7 & 8's have been working on all throughout the year, with a visual art display in the small gym, and performances of drama, dance and music in the big gym. The 6:00 performance is open to everyone.
