🚒👨🚒 A Fun & Educational Day for Our FDK Team! 👩🚒🔥
Last week, our Full-Day Kindergarten classes took an exciting trip to the local fire hall to learn all about fire safety! The students got a first-hand look at what firefighters do, saw the gear up close, and learned key tips on staying safe.
A huge thank you to the local fire department for welcoming us, and a special shout-out to all of our amazing parent volunteers! Your help with walking the students to and from the station, keeping everyone safe, and supporting the children throughout the day made the trip a huge success. We couldn't have done it without you! ❤️

We are so incredibly proud of every single student who represented our school at last week’s cross-country meet. The dedication, sportsmanship, and determination shown on the course were second to none—everyone gave it their absolute all!

💛 School Bus Driver Appreciation Day (Wednesday, October 21st) 💛
This Wednesday, October 21st, join us in celebrating our incredible school bus drivers! Every school day, rain or shine, these everyday heroes ensure our students arrive to and from school safely with a smile.
We encourage all of our students and staff to take a moment to say a big "Thank You!" to their drivers this Wednesday—a quick card, a friendly wave, or a kind word goes a long way!

🥞 What a sweet (and delicious!) day at DACS!
Today was our Pancake Day, and it’s safe to say there were happy faces and full bellies all around! Seeing our school community come together for a special treat like this is always a highlight.

* Our Senior Student Helpers: You did an incredible job taking care of our littles and helping them load up their plates!

The starter’s horn sounded at Great Lakes Secondary School—and with it, a new LKDSB tradition was born.
For the first time, 531 elementary student athletes from across our entire bard came together for a unified Track & Field Meet— with representation stretching from Wheatley to Grand Bend.
From powerful sprints to soaring jumps and electrifying relays, the day was filled with determination, sportsmanship, and unforgettable moments. Even more impactful? Students competing alongside peers they’d never met before, building connections that reached far beyond the finish line.
This wasn’t just a meet—it was the beginning of something bigger for LKDSB students.
