The Earth Rangers are coming and they want your used batteries! DACS will be collecting used batteries to help ensure they do not end up in a landfill. Please bring your used batteries to the school. Containers will be provided.
Safety Rules:
-- Please no button batteries in the primary grades.
-- Batteries with a voltage over 9 V should have their electrodes taped.
Single-use and rechargeable batteries weighing less than 5 kg can be brought in to be recycled.
Cash prizes up to $5000 will be awarded to the top 7 schools in Ontario. Contest ends October 31.
