March Break is Here!

Our LKDSB EDJI team has been working with the Josiah Henson Museum of African-Canadian history to bring a presentation to Mrs Kingsbury and Mrs McCutcheon’s class called: Where do I Belong? A Dresden Story Documentary presented by Jackie Bernard.
This presentation delivered a transformative message on the power of choosing kindness over conflict and the courage required to stand tall in one's own identity. A powerful message.

Champs! Way to go Eagles. 🦅 A big thank you to Mr. Wesseling for coaching and Mr. Park for officiating. 🏀

Our Black History Month celebrations continued today with Ms. Rahn for presenting to some of our Grade 2-4 students to share the powerful art and history of Black History Quilting. 🖤✨
The students were captivated as they learned how quilts were more than just blankets—they were symbols of resilience, storytelling, and even secret maps. Through patterns and fabric Ms. Rahn showed us how history can be preserved one stitch at a time. #lkdsbblackhistorymonth
