In 1980, a young Canadian named Terry Fox set out on a journey across Canada with a simple but powerful dream: a world without cancer. Forty-five years later, Terry’s legacy continues to inspire millions. His Marathon of Hope lives on through the efforts of schools like ours, and this year, we’re proud to once again take part in the 2025 Terry Fox School Run.
At Colonel Cameron Public School, we believe in the power of coming together for a cause that touches so many lives. Cancer affects us all in one way or another, and through our support, we can help fund the critical research needed to improve outcomes and, one day, find a cure.
Crossing the finish line means hope for everyone with cancer. Together, we can Finish It.
This year, our school run will take place on Thursday, September 25th. We encourage all students and families to get involved by supporting our fundraising efforts. There are three easy ways to donate:
School Cash Online – Make a donation conveniently through your School Cash Online account.
Toonie for Terry – Send a toonie (or any amount) with your child on the day of the run, September 25th.
Terry Fox School Donation Page – Donate directly to our school’s fundraising page at:

Every dollar raised goes directly toward life-saving cancer research in Canada. Thank you for supporting this important cause and for helping us keep Terry’s dream alive!
