If you are downtown Wallaceburg keep your eyes open for some original artwork created by an A.A. Wright staff member Gretchen Sands-Gamble. Her artwork was one of several indigenous artists selected to be professionally printed and hung throughout downtown to celebrate Indigenous culture, creativity and community. Thank you to the Downtown Wallaceburg BIA displaying these banners for the month of September as we recognize and honour the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

🏅 HISTORY IN MOTION
The starter’s horn sounded at Great Lakes Secondary School—and with it, a new LKDSB tradition was born.
For the first time, 531 elementary student athletes from across our entire bard came together for a unified Track & Field Meet— with representation stretching from Wheatley to Grand Bend.
From powerful sprints to soaring jumps and electrifying relays, the day was filled with determination, sportsmanship, and unforgettable moments. Even more impactful? Students competing alongside peers they’d never met before, building connections that reached far beyond the finish line.
This wasn’t just a meet—it was the beginning of something bigger for LKDSB students.
