We appreciate the Chatham-Kent Police Service's quick response to a threat against our community. The Lambton Kent District School Board takes all alleged threats seriously, as student and staff safety is a top priority.
We remind students that any inappropriate use of social media while on or off school property, either during the school day or outside it, that has a negative impact on school climate will be dealt with accordingly.

This afternoon (April 6, 2018), police were notified of a threatening photo on Instagram referencing Wallaceburg District Secondary School.
Through investigation, the youth responsible was identified and located.
The 15-year-old Wallaceburg youth has been arrested and charged with uttering threats.
His parents have been notified of the incident. He will be released with conditions pending a future court date of April 30, 2018.
