Students in all classes will be partaking in Swim To Survive Classes and Open Swims at Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool. The Swim To Survive Program has been developed to ensure that children in Ontario learn basic survival skills in the water. The program is designed to accommodate all abilities while reinforcing the essential survival skills. The students will learn to roll in deep water, tread water for one minute, and swim 50 metres. Each of our five classes will have one Swim to Survive Class, and two Open Swims. Your child has received a letter noting this information and appropriate details. Students are reminded that bathing suits must be appropriate and suitable for active participation in the water.
