"On Monday May 7th, we soared over the distances that separate us by coming together to share a common experience though music. We raised our voices alongside passionate students, teachers, parents, and community members. We demonstrated how music lives where we do, and we actively participated in advocating for its value in our schools. Together, with hundreds of thousands across the country, we made a difference for music education."
- The Coalition for Music Education
Music Monday is a nationwide initiative to celebrate music in our schools. Here at Rosedale, students from JK to Grade 8 performed The Tree Song by Ken Medema Tree Song - to celebrate our soon-to-be installed outdoor classroom, Primary Playscape, and new trees. The students also used American Sign Language for the chorus. Take a look below at how Rosedale celebrated the power of music in our lives, .
