Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
The LKDSB is excited to announce a major construction project at Rosedale Public School. The project will include renovations to classrooms, main office, and staff areas. Improvements to the outdoor experience will also be included such as additional parking, modified traffic flow, improvements to the playground and new outdoor learning spaces. The flagship of the project is a new state of the art STEAM lab (science, technology, engineering, art, & math).
Construction is planned to begin in July 2022 and expected to be complete in 24 months. Portable classrooms will be installed in the playground and classes will rotate from the school to the portables, allowing for year-round construction. Careful consideration is going into the phasing of construction to ensure safety is a top priority during the project. Students will only occupy portable classrooms during active construction of their portion of the school.
