​This year our Grade 3 and 6 students will be involved in the EQAO Primary and Junior Assessment of Reading, Writing and Mathematics. The Grade 3’s and Grade 6’s will complete the assessment during the weeks of May 23 – June 5. Please refrain from scheduling any appointments, etc. during these weeks, if possible, to allow for minimal disruptions during the assessment period. These assessments will be administered over six one hour sessions. Parents/guardians should note that some students in combined grade classrooms will be temporarily relocated into a different classroom setting during the assessment periods. For example, Mrs. Allen/Mrs. McLachlin’s Grade 5’s will be relocated into Mr. Owen’s classroom, and Mr. Owen’s Grade 6’s will be relocated into Mrs. Allen/Mrs. McLachlin’s class. More information regarding the EQAO Assessments or these temporary classroom arrangements can be obtained from each of the respective Grade 3 and 6 teachers and/or Mrs. MacLachlan, our Resource teacher.
