Update regarding students transferring between learning program delivery (in-person and Virtual Learn at Home)

January 26, 2021
Due to the current remote learning period, the transition for elementary students between in-person learning and Virtual Learn at Home will be delayed pending further information from the Ministry of Education on the return to face-to-face learning. At this time, elementary students will continue in the current learning program of delivery (attending either in-person or Virtual Learn at Home Elementary School). By delaying the transferring of elementary students between in-person and Virtual Learn at Home, we hope this will promote consistency and mitigate the number of transitions for students during the remote learning period, particularly for students transferring to in-person learning. Further information will be provided to families regarding the transition between in-person learning and the Virtual Learn at Home Elementary School following updates from the Ministry about the return to face-to-face learning.

The transition for secondary students between in-person learning and the Virtual Learn at Home Secondary School will occur at the start of Quadmester 3 on February 2, 2021, as scheduled.

Students moving between program delivery choice (i.e. face-to-face learning or Learn at Home) should anticipate changes in teacher(s).

Parents/guardians with specific questions regarding their child should contact their school directly, as messages are checked regularly.
