In consultation with the Ontario Provincial Police Service, the Lambton Kent District School Board (LKDSB) has decided to close Lambton Central Collegiate and Vocational School to in-person learning to students on Friday, June 3 due to concerns about a potential threat at the school. All classes will move to a virtual learning format for Friday, June 3, 2022.

Concerns were raised regarding a potential threat against the school after graffiti was found in the school at the end of the day on Thursday, June 2, 2022.

LKDSB Senior Administration has decided to close the school on Friday to allow police to investigate the incident.

“Student and staff safety are a top priority for the LKDSB and we follow the direction of local police regarding matters of school safety,” said Director John Howitt.

The LKDSB will continue to keep the school community updated regarding this issue. Please visit the school or LKDSB websites (www.lkdsb.net) for the most up-to-date information.
