The Lambton Kent District School Board (LKDSB) celebrates those who dedicate their time to support student success during Staff and Volunteer Appreciation Day on Friday, October 4.
At the 44th Session of the International Conference on Education, a United Nations agency declared Oct. 5 as World Teachers' Day. In recognition of this event, the LKDSB celebrates the contributions of all employees and volunteers who support student achievement.
“We greatly appreciate the ongoing dedication of our staff and volunteers who share a commitment to promoting student achievement and positive learning environments," said Chair Jane Bryce. “On behalf of the Board, I express our sincerest thanks."
“We are proud of the daily work of our staff and volunteers to foster success for every student, every day," said Director John Howitt. “Through engagement with parents/guardians and the community, we work together to encourage the best possible outcomes for students."
The LKDSB believes public education is an investment in the future of all peoples and all communities. LKDSB staff and volunteers are committed to supporting safe and welcoming learning environments.
