August 17, 2022
School Bus Safety program for students from the Lambton Kent District School Board & St. Clair Catholic District School Board to be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022

As another school year begins, CLASS and the local school bus operators are preparing parents and first-time riders from JK – Grade 1 in understanding the importance of school bus safety by hosting a FIRST TIME RIDER Orientation Day on Saturday, August 20, 2022, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at two separate locations simultaneously.

Parents are encouraged to bring their children to this free session, where they will watch a brief animated school bus safety video and then have the opportunity to board a bus and go for a short ride together. Safety trainers will be onsite to talk to the children and Parents about basic school bus safety rules, how to cross the street safely and how to evacuate a bus in case of an emergency. The sessions will run continuously beginning at 9am and are approximately one-half hour in duration.

Sarnia-Lambton Session Location:
• Great Lakes Secondary School – 340 Murphy Road., Sarnia

Chatham-Kent Session Location:
• Ursuline College - 85 Grand Avenue West, Chatham
