Important message to LKDSB students, parents/guardians and community
The Ministry of Education has directed that Lambton Kent District School Board elementary and secondary schools will reopen in September with a return to full-time, in-class learning with enhanced safety measures. As such, the LKDSB is looking to gather information from parents/guardians regarding plans for the reopening of schools on Tuesday, September 8. Learn more here

The health and safety of LKDSB students and staff are the top priorities and LKDSB is following the guidance provided by the Ministry of Education and provincial and local Medical Officers of Health as plans are developed.​ Click h​ere for the Return to School Frequently Asked Questions.  Please note: These plans are not confirmed.  

The LKDSB will release its detailed reopening plans Thursday, August 13, 2020. After reviewing, should parents/guardians wish to alter their choice from learn at home to face-to-face instruction (or vice versa) please call your school by Friday, August 28 and leave a message outlining your decision to change program delivery.​

Supports for Students: School social workers are available to students with concerns about the Grade 8 to Grade 9 transition. Read more here.
Access to LKDSB Facilities: Currently, LKDSB schools are open to the public by appointment only. The Sarnia Education Centre is open to the public with specific safety protocols in place. The Chatham Regional Education Centre is closed due to construction; the facility is open to the public by appointment only.​​
Notice: LKDSB playground equipment and outdoor structures are NOT cleaned or sanitized. Please follow health and safety precautions when accessing. Read more here.​
