​Dear Parents/Guardians,

This letter is to notify you of an incident that occurred on Wednesday, November 23, 2022.

At approximately 1:00 p.m., there was smoke observed in a hallway at Great Lakes Secondary School.  As a precaution, all students and staff were safely evacuated.  Sarnia Fire Rescue Services cleared the building for re-entry at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Student and staff safety are a top priority for the Lambton Kent District School Board (LKDSB).  The LKDSB appreciates the cooperation of staff in following the proper protocols to safely remove students from the area.
