Dear Parents/Guardians,

This letter is to notify you of an incident that occurred in March, but was brought to the attention of the school on Friday, April 6.

A parent reported a student who recently received inappropriate communication through social media. The inappropriate communication was reported to Lambton OPP and administration and an investigation is ongoing. We will also continue to monitor this situation and act to ensure student safety.

Moving forward, we encourage parents and guardians to have ongoing conversations with their children about personal safety strategies and responsible digital citizenship. In addition, our teachers address the topic of personal safety with our students in age-appropriate ways as part of the Ontario curriculum.

We appreciate your support and encourage you to be vigilant. Should you see or hear anything that causes you concern, please report it to the police. We believe in working collaboratively to ensure a safe and caring learning environment for all.
