Ridgetown District Elementary School (GR. 7/8) and Ridgetown District High School (RDHS) will be changing the school bell time for the 2024-2025 school year. Effective September 3, 2024, both Ridgetown District Elementary (GR. 7/8) and Ridgetown District High School students will start school at 8:00AM and dismissed at 2:10PM. This decision will align the bell times for Ridgetown District Elementary and Ridgetown District High School. As part of this change for the community, the school bus service will also be converting to the 7-12 integrated service model, wherein students attending both GR. 7/8 and RDHS will ride together on shared bus routes servicing both schools. Information regarding what will be changing and what will be staying the same in relation to this decision is highlighted below.
What Will Be Changing: • Pickup and drop off times at the school will be aligned to the new bell times. • The bus that students currently ride may change with the updated 7-12 service and route updates. • All buses will service both RDHS and GR. 7/8 students and therefore, student from 7-12 will be riding each bus.
What Will Stay the Same: • GR.7/8 students will have seating assignments planned at the front of the bus and seats at the rear of the bus will be open for RDHS students. • Bus stop locations for all students will stay the same. • There will be no substantial change to average riding times. • Maximum bus loading parameters will remain the same. • Bell times at Naahii Ridge Elementary School will remain the same.
