This letter is to notify you of an incident that occurred at the school on Monday, November 18 at approximately 12 p.m.
Earlier today, the Lambton Kent District School Board (LKDSB) notified Enbridge Gas of concerns about a smell of sulfur in the cafeteria area. All Lambton Kent Composite School students and staff were evacuated to the school's emergency evacuation location while the issue was investigated.
Once Enbridge Gas confirmed the issue was resolved, in coordination with the LKDSB's Health and Safety Department, students and staff were permitted to return to the building at approximately 1:15 p.m.
We appreciated everyone's cooperation through this process to ensure the safety of students and staff, as well as following the appropriate emergency protocols.
Should you have any questions or concerns you are encouraged to contact the school.
