Dear parents/guardians:
Please review the following report from the Lambton Kent District School Board's (LKDSB) architects regarding the structural upgrades to Brooke Central Public School roof. Read a copy of the letter.
The architects' assessment does not recommend any changes to the current use of the classroom addition for Grades 6-8 English Program and Grades 7-8 French Immersion. There is an ongoing snow load monitoring program for the entire roof at Brooke Central Public School and the roof structure of the 2007 section will be updated in the summer of 2023.
The timeline for completion of the structural and sprinkler upgrades and return of the students currently attending East Lambton Elementary School and Lambton Centennial Public School is unknown. Only required structural and sprinkler upgrades for occupancy will be completed at this time, with any additional work to be completed in the summer.
LKDSB will continue to share details about our plans as soon as they are available.
Should you have any questions about your child, please reach out to the school principal.
Sincerely,
John Howitt
Director of Education
