Inspired by the May 16^th Miracle in Chatham-Kent https://www.may16miracle.com/, Brooke Central staff will be collecting non-perishable items for the Alvinston Food Bank on Saturday, May 16^th. Items are to be left on your front porch area and staff will pick the items up starting at 12:00 noon. A curb side drop off on the sidewalk in front of the Alvinston library will be available from 12:00-3:00 pm for rural, Inwood and Watford families wishing to donate.

We miss seeing your children from our classes and this is an opportunity for us to interact with them from a distance and to see their smiling faces. It is also a chance for all of us to engage in school and community spirit by giving back to our community for those in need during this time. One donated item per household is all that we are asking for. 

We will be proudly wearing our school colours and you will likely hear us coming down the street. We will be excited, laughing, waving, virtually high-fiving you and we encourage your children to do the same. School staff will be at the drop off location, along with the small groups of staff walking the streets collecting items. Please ensure to drive by us while we are walking so that we can see everyone. We will be split up into small groups in order to follow COVID-19 social distancing guidelines and to be able to reach all of the households within the village of Alvinston.

Unfortunately, we are unable to congregate and have conversations with you. Time will allow that to happen and we are all hoping for that day to come sooner than later.
