Mental Wellness

Mental wellness is a positive concept and is something we all have and need to take care of.

There IS support available for young people who are experiencing mental health concerns, however, according to the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario, only 1 in 6 children get the help they need.  The earlier a young person gets help, the better so if you are concerned about someone, please reach out.

Lambton Kent District School Board has recently purchased the Be Safe App, free for students.

From the Mayo Clinic: teens describe common signs that a teen is considering suicide and provide encouragement for communicating directly and immediately for support and safety. It also includes suggestions for what to say to a teen who may be at risk for suicide and ways to keep them safe.
