During CMHA Mental Health Week (May 2-6) and throughout the year, the Lambton Kent District School Board supports student mental health and well-being.

The theme of this year's Mental Health Week is Empathy. Empathy is the ability to share someone else's feelings or experiences by imagining what it would be like to be in their situation. When times are tough, we need to be there for each other and practice empathy.

In support of the LKDSB's Strategic Priority, “Student Achievement and Well-Being," we remain committed to promoting education and awareness of mental health issues. We support the development of mental health through curriculum, systematic training to staff, collaboration with community partners, and a focus on promoting well-being.

In addition to school mental health supports, students and families may access help through a community mental health organization and Kids Help Phone (available 24/7).
