W.J. Baird Public School – OSNP Snack Program Overview

At W.J. Baird Public School, we are fortunate to partner with the Ontario Student Nutrition Program (OSNP), and to be supported by the Blenheim and Merlin School Breakfast Program to provide a daily, nutritious snack for all students. Our snack program is designed to support student well‑being by ensuring every child has access to healthy food choices that fuel learning, focus, and overall success at school.

Each day, students receive a fresh, healthy snack that may include fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and dairy or protein options. Items are selected to align with OSNP nutrition guidelines and to encourage students to try a variety of wholesome foods. Our staff prepare and distribute snacks in a safe, organized, and inclusive manner so that all students can participate.

This program plays an important role in creating a positive school environment where students feel supported and ready to learn. We are grateful for OSNP’s partnership and the generosity of the Blenheim and Merlin School Breakfast Program that makes this program possible at W.J. Baird Public School.
