Message from the Principal

Welcome to Kinnwood Central Public School

Dear Kinnwood Students, Families, Staff, and Community,

Welcome to Kinnwood Central Public School!

My name is Megan Boss, and it is both an honour and a privilege to serve as the Principal of Kinnwood Central. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join this outstanding school community and to work alongside our dedicated staff, supportive families, and exceptional students.

From my very first visit to Kinnwood, it was clear that this is a school with a proud history, deep community connections, and a genuine commitment to helping every child succeed. As we begin this new chapter together, I look forward to getting to know each of you and building strong relationships founded on trust, collaboration, and open communication.

Throughout my career with the Lambton Kent District School Board, I have had the privilege of serving in a variety of educational leadership roles, including classroom teacher, Learning Resource Teacher, System Special Education Coordinator, Vice-Principal, and Principal. These experiences have reinforced my belief that every child deserves to feel safe, valued, included, and inspired to reach their full potential.

At Kinnwood, our focus is simple: creating a school where every student is known, every learner is supported, and every family feels welcomed as a valued partner in their child's education. Together, we will celebrate success, embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, and continue building a culture where kindness, curiosity, perseverance, and belonging are evident in everything we do.

Our school theme, Strong Roots. Bright Futures., reflects what makes Kinnwood so special. We honour the traditions and relationships that have shaped our school while preparing our students with the confidence, skills, and character they need for the future. Whether in the classroom, on the playground, through extracurricular activities, or within the broader community, we want every Kodiak to know they belong and can achieve great things.

I believe that the strongest schools are built through meaningful partnerships between home and school. I encourage you to stay connected through our website, social media, SchoolMessenger communications, and by reaching out whenever you have questions, ideas, or celebrations to share. My door is always open.

Thank you for welcoming me into the Kinnwood family. I am excited for all that we will accomplish together and look forward to an outstanding year ahead.

Strong Roots. Bright Futures. Go Kodiaks!

Warmly,

Megan Boss
